Silent Symphony {Austria x Pianist!Deaf!Reader}
Day 10 —What do you want to be remembered for?

She'd always had something about her that had reeled him in from the moment he heard of what she was capable of. Of course, he'd immediately decided he needed to see it for himself to decide whether it was true or not. This meeting was what had sparked the beginning of a duo never before heard of - one that would never come again. They were unique, unable to be duplicated. They changed the world.

Roderich admired her persistency whenever she practiced. Despite being unable to physically hear the notes, she could feel them deep within her chest as the sounds reverberated through her being, connecting her to the music like no other would know. He would watch her play for hours upon hours, to almost impossible lengths; she wanted to be as good as him, and be able to show him she was no different than anyone else. Her disability was nothing but a mere pebble in her path.

During the times he would accompany her with his violin or separate piano, the grin would never be able to leave her face. To be able to play with another and meet their standards made her heart soar, make her feel like her practice had paid off and she was not reaching for something she would never obtain. If only she knew how many admired her because of this, yet she insisted those who came to see them perform only came to see Roderich play. He would scoff and sign that she was being ridiculous, to which she would only smile and continue to play.

As each day passed her passion for the music only seemed to grow exceptionally. He would have to pry her away from her beloved instrument to make her eat, and as soon as she would finish she'd scurry back off towards the grand, leaving him shaking his head in both amusement and worry. Of course she was better than nearly any other piano player he'd ever accompanied, but she was young. She didn't think about making new friends or enjoying her life, she only focused on the black-and-white keys paired with blinding sheet music each and every day without pause. Music had literally become her life.

It eventually came to a point one day where Roderich had decided enough was enough, and she desperately needed time away from an instrument of any sort. Without any time to think, she was being forced to put on a coat and hat, dragged out the door and down the street. She didn't question him, but as he peeked towards her every once and a while he could see her casting desperate glances down the street near their home, obviously already anxious to get back to playing the ivory.

When they arrived at a small local coffee shop, however, she seemed to forget about home as she eagerly stepped inside the cafe and breathed in the fresh scents of hot drinks and small treats. Her eyes lit up as she signed for a hot chocolate and biscuit, having not have had either of them in quite some time. He quickly translated for her to the man at the cash register, who gave a gentle smile to the both of them. Once their warm drinks were held and warming up their frosted hands, they made their towards a small booth overlooking the street.

She seemed fascinated as she watched the locals walk through the streets and interact with one another; it had been a long time since she had stepped into the village, forgetting that there were other people in the world besides the two of them. As she stared in awe at the passerby, his hand crept over the table to intertwine with hers.

At her inquiring gaze, he only chuckled and shook his head, raising her hand to his lips. Her quiet giggle tugged a smile onto his lips, and he leaned over to press a chaste kiss upon her forehead. She would always bring him the sweetest music, no matter how silent.
Weh, I liked it yet I didn't. I thought it began great, but the ending wasn't quite what I wanted? Oh well, it's 1:15 so I guess I didn't exactly publish two in one day? I'll be sure to put at least one other up later.

Oh yeah and big news: I'm a Premium Member for a whole month. *squeals into oblivion*
This was certainly the last thing I expected after coming onto here after an rp with a friend. I went to check my messages, and what was the first thing I saw? A star next to my name. I was a Member. Given by my lovely sister-but-not-sister xYourHero (I'm not tagging her because I know she's already busy enough ^^;) for a month. I spent at least two hours trying to figure out how to do everything xD

But anyways, I'm still amazing at how generous she was and even when this ends I'll still be eternally grateful to her. It just goes to show how much one small act of kindness can make someone's whole day, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
